Languedoc Roussillon
Are you ready for a walk on the wild side of wines in the South of France? Welcome to a week exploring the wines and geology of France’s southwest Mediterranean crescent: the Languedoc and Roussillon.
Bordeaux Left & Right
You know about the Left Bank - of the Seine in Paris. In Bordeaux we will explore the other Left Bank - of the Gironde Estuary and Garonne River - and its world-famous wines. We will learn about their terroirs, their viticulture, their winemaking and of course their wines.
About Us
Every bottle of wine has a story. We know the ending because it’s in our glass. But where did it begin? And why is it the way it is?
It’s because the place where the wines were grown makes all the difference. It began millions of years ago with the geologic history of each vineyard. We will explore those places together. We will understand why certain grape varieties prosper and others do not. We will learn the terroir of each place, see first-hand the setting of each vineyard, meet the people who grow the grapes and we will taste the wines they produce.
Bordeaux, Burgundy, The Rhône Valley, Languedoc and Roussillon, The Loire, Champagne, Alsace, Napa, Sonoma, Mendocino, Santa Lucia Highlands, Paso Robles, Santa Ynez and more…
We will find out why the place makes all the difference.
